What are some recommended books for an eighth grader?
December 5th, 2008
Here is Tommie calling:
I’m an eighth grader who loves to read and my teacher said we are having an Outside Reading Project. I have no clue what book to read though. I’m the kind of person who can read anything so don’t worry about the level or difficulty or length of the material. I would like to read something thrilling and unique. I’m okay with classic stories too! I have already read the following books:
- Entire Harry Potter Series
- Tom Sawyer
- Huckleberry Finn
- Little Women
- and many others
I would really like it if someone could recommend a great series because ever since Harry Potter ended, I’m not interesting in any other books anymore. Thanks!

I first discovered some of the classics around your age. Try Les Miserables by Victor Hugo, 1984 by George Orwell, or Great Expectatons by Charles Dickens.
