Truman calling: I need to find some good books about this subject. I’d prefer if I could find information about the book online before I go rent the book.

Sharita calling: i looking for books related to american wars for example revolutionary war, civil war, ww1,ww2
my english teacher forces his students to read, analize, write essays and get tested on his boring and out dated books about america history. he want the books that we read in his class to connect to other classes. his intentions are good but he needs to choose better books and give kids more options.
Please reccomend books are exciting, will apeal to kids age 12-14 and appropriate for class.
can you also reccomend books not relating to war but in the same time period.
any good books related to physcial science are also helpful.

Muriel calling: I am interested in doing modeling. I am looking for books on posing or other good books to read so I can succeed in the model business. I am a woman in my late 20’s. I already have the Complete Idiot’s Guide to Modeling. FYI, I do not live in the US, so any US-specific books will not help me. Thanks

Gino calling: I just read the twilight series except the one that isn’t out yet and I loved them. Does anyone have any other recommendations for other books that are similar to these? Or any good books?

Lanie calling: I recently finished all the books i wanted to read for 2007 (so i was a week late, big deal), could you recommend some good books (reasons would be helpful) for me to read in 2008? I enjoy mainly nonfiction. I have already read, and loved, books like the tipping point, blink, freakonomics.
I will give 10 points to the person who convinces me their book is the best.
Thanks.

Ignacio calling: I’m giving a few books to a girl who is in third grade but has a first-grade reading level. Should I give her first grade books, second grade books, or third grade books? What’s going to improve her reading level? Does anyone have any suggestions that I could easily find at Barnes and Noble tonight. As for the type of book, anything goes, but I want 1 or 2 books about puppies because that is one thing that I know she likes.

Patty calling: One of my teachers is gonna make us do book reports based on books of our choice. I was wondering what would be good for a teenage child. It has to be over a 100 pages. No twilight please. Something that is appropriate?
I don’t want a series please. I want a book. Or if it is a series , I want it to be something I can draw enough information out of without having to read the next book.
Oh and it must be fiction.
